Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Rotating Game Table

$1,850.00

A beautifully aged Arts & Crafts oak game table, dating to approximately 1900–1910, featuring a rare rotating top and honest, utilitarian craftsmanship. This is a very rare game table made in oak, which another antique dealer who has been in the business for over 30 years told me he has never seen before. Sourced in North Carolina's oldest town of Bath (Blackbeard's hometown!)

This early American piece embodies the simplicity and integrity of the Mission style, with clean lines, subtly flared legs, and a focus on function over ornament. The rotating top opens to reveal a hidden interior compartment, originally designed for games or cards — a thoughtful detail that speaks to its turn-of-the-century origins.

The oak has developed a warm, time-softened patina over more than a century, with visible grain and natural wear that give the piece depth and character. Its proportions make it highly versatile — equally suited as a console table, writing table, or accent piece in both traditional and modern interiors.

A quietly special find, and increasingly difficult to source in solid oak with this form.
