Antique Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Table | 72" Expandable Dining Table, c. 1930

A beautifully proportioned antique mahogany drop-leaf dining table featuring exceptionally rich grain, slender tapered legs and an ingenious space-saving design.

With both leaves lowered, the table has a remarkably compact footprint of approximately 47" x 26", allowing it to function beautifully as a breakfast table, console or dining table for a smaller space.

Raise both substantial leaves and the table transforms into an impressive 72-inch-long dining table, offering generous space for entertaining while retaining an elegant, visually lightweight profile.

The mahogany is particularly beautiful. Each leaf displays wonderfully expressive figuring and natural variation ranging from warm amber and caramel tones to deep chocolate brown. The simple silhouette allows the character of the wood to take center stage.

Slender square tapered legs give the table a graceful Georgian/Federal-inspired appearance without the visual weight of a traditional pedestal dining table.

A wonderfully versatile antique for a collected interior—equally suited to an apartment, historic home, breakfast room, dining room or library.

Condition

Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use.

The tabletop retains visible scratches, scuffs, finish variation, small marks and areas of surface wear. There is more noticeable scratching and small edge loss at one corner, as photographed. Additional minor imperfections and variations are present throughout.

These signs of use are part of the table's antique character and do not detract from the remarkable figuring of the mahogany.

Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description.

A timeless and exceptionally practical piece of antique furniture: compact when needed, dramatic when fully extended, and beautiful in either configuration.
