Hollywood Regency Campaign Style Chairs, Circa 1975–1985

A beautiful pair of vintage Hickory Chair faux bamboo armchairs, crafted with the timeless elegance and craftsmanship the North Carolina furniture maker has been known for since 1911.

These chairs feature classic bamboo-style turned wood frames, a warm colonial finish, and tailored upholstery finished with nailhead trim. The elegant silhouette and cross-stretcher base give them a relaxed yet refined look that works beautifully in traditional, coastal, or Palm Beach–inspired interiors.

The pair retains their original Hickory Chair labels and factory tags, which indicate they were custom produced for the Belk department store interior design program. The tags also note “special construction – commercial vinyl,” meaning the upholstery was designed for durability in high-traffic designer installations.

Dating from circa 1975–1985, these chairs embody the Hollywood Regency and campaign influences that remain popular with interior designers today.
