Mid-Century Walnut Pedestal Dining Table | Extendable Oval 78" Extension Table
A beautiful vintage walnut dining table dating to approximately the 1960s-1970s, featuring a warm natural walnut finish, softly rounded oval/racetrack top, and substantial sculptural pedestal bases.
This table has wonderful versatility. At just 52 inches long without its leaves, it works beautifully in a breakfast room, kitchen, or smaller dining space. Two 13-inch extension leaves expand the table to approximately 78 inches long, providing generous additional seating when entertaining.
The base is particularly striking, with substantial turned pedestal columns resting on broad, curved feet. When the table is extended, the two pedestal sections separate to support the longer tabletop, creating an attractive symmetrical double-pedestal profile.
The walnut has beautiful variation in tone and grain throughout, ranging from warm honey brown to deeper chocolate brown. The rounded molded edge gives the tabletop a substantial, finished appearance while retaining the clean lines associated with mid-century design.
A wonderful choice for a traditional, English country, European-inspired, transitional, or collected interior. Its simple form also pairs beautifully with more modern dining chairs.
