Vintage Italian Majolica Vase
One-of-a-kind · Flat-rate U.S. delivery · All sales final
A mid-century Italian majolica vase in classic pedestal form — tin-glazed earthenware with loose, hand-painted teal floral brushwork over a white ground, finished with hand-formed applied flowers: a blue blossom, a pink rose, and a yellow daisy.
The ruffled rim and foot give it that exuberant, sculptural silhouette Italian pottery is loved for. Made in Italy — the base is hand-marked ITALY — in the Bassano del Grappa tradition of applied-flower majolica.
Condition:
Good vintage condition. Honest wear to the underside of the foot, with glaze wear at the contact points, as shown in the base photo.
Why We Love It
Applied flowers, a ruffled silhouette, and that teal-on-white painting — it's a little Italian garden that never needs watering.
